Takahata Fudo Temple is where we journeyed to. It is in Hino, close to Tachikawa, and not too far from Yokota! Takahata Fudo is one of the three famous Kanto Fudo temples! It was completely breath taking, all of it. We were wide eyed like children in total awe of this beautiful country we are so blessed to live in!
This is the entrance. Can you say gorgeous?
CJ and his sweet diva baby on the beautiful bridge overlooking the water where they were watching the Koi swim together!
Write your hopes and wishes for the year...
The original temple was located on the top of the hill. When it was destroyed in a storm in 1335, it was rebuilt in its present location in 1979 and completed in 1989 to be a replica of the older structure.
Family shrines..
We got lucky enough to watch a Karate performance!
She was the most beautiful part of our day.... but then again we are biased :)
Off exploring again....
[hubs got artsy on me ;)]
This spot is where you leave a coin and pray for your children's well being.
In my case, I left a coin and hoped for one less booger...she was working hard on that one. Just keepin it real.......
Their kimono's were so beautiful. They walked up to the opening when it was their turn, turned around, took their shoes off, and gracefully turned back around and walked into the room where they had some sort of ceremony. I'm sorry, I really don't know what it was they had going on in there, but I was loving it!
We have completed our little tour of the temples here, now we are off to explore the town!
["see ya later!"]
After we pet the puppy, Cookie, of course!
Until next time, Takahata Fudo Temple! What an awesome day trip!
